The webWOC Nursing Education Program encourages you to take the
Full Scope of practice to best maximize your career potentialand
to better serve your patients needs. But you can also
take individual courses specializing in wound, ostomy or continence.
Graduate-level or continuing education credit is awarded for
all coursework that is successfully completed.
Choose from Full Scope or Partial Scope Curriculum Options
so you can obtain the education that best meets your
educational plan. Successful completion qualifies you for
the national WOC Nursing Certification examinations.

will study one scope and, upon successful completion,
be eligible for a national certification exam. |

The webWOC Nursing Education Program makes it easy for you
to receive a complete education on your own time. Accelerated
courses offer 8-wks of focused learning to complete one
scope of practice. There are only 3 live classes in this
course design, so flexibility for the learner is high with
this option. The extended correspondence courses are
self-paced. Learners can take up to one year to complete
this course option. The traditional, full scope program
requires 1-2 semesters to complete, depending upon the
learners schedule. For advanced learners or experienced
practitioners, a faculty guided independent study (FDIS)
is available. Assessment and approval from a Program
Director is required for admission into this course.
Live classes are conducted in webcasts and offered once
or several times a month depending upon the course. Varied
learning strategies are utilized in these courses to make
online learning rigorous, relevant to practice, interactive
and fun. Learners are immersed in learning environments

Nursing Education Program fees are based
upon the courses for which the
learner is registered. The fees range between
$100 and $250. |

Tuition
is paid in full at the time of registration (before the semester
begins). Metropolitan State University will accept a credit
card for payment. Because of the already-low cost of the Program,
a payment plan option is not available. However, you may have
a chance to be awarded a scholarship or grant.
Scholarships are available through the WOCN Society (Wound
Ostomy
Continence Nurses Society). For information on scholarships,

We also encourage you to search online for grants that may
be available through nonprofit organizations and foundations
in your city and state. These grant providers may express
an interest in supplying funds for nurses, continuing education,
underserved populations, rural populations and more.
