OST258: Peristomal Skin Health: An Approach to
Maintenance or Improvement

PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY:

 

The purpose of this educational activity is to
enable the learner to identify and describe peristomal skin management for
both healthy and compromised skin.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

This presentation focuses on the
significance of peristomal skin health for the adjustment and the quality of
life for the person with an ostomy. 
The maintenance of healthy peristomal skin and management of compromised
peristomal skin are discussed.
