COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course provides nurses at both the basic and advanced practice levels with foundational knowledge essential to caring for pediatric patients with ostomies. Learners will gain an understanding of core principles related to pediatric ostomy care, including underlying pathophysiology, key assessment considerations, and routine management strategies. The content is designed to support safe, effective, and evidence‑based care for pediatric ostomy patients across clinical settings. Additionally, the offering has been developed by board certified specialists in ostomy care who are practicing clinically and teaching in an academic setting.
