COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on the identification/assessment and management of venous ulcers. Content includes pathophysiology, risk factors, lower extremity clinical findings and diagnostic testing. An evidence-based practice guideline provides the basis for management approaches including wound care and the use of compression. INTENDED AUDIENCE: INTENDED AUDIENCE: The non-specialist nurse caregiver (LPN/LVNs, RNs, Advanced Practice) and non-nursing professionals (e.g. PTs, OTs, PAs, Medics) practicing under the direction of the WOC nurse, or other wound specialists including an APRN, or Physician.
