This course focuses on the care of clients across the lifespan who may be at risk for skin breakdown, have a break in skin integrity, or have an existing wound. Learners will gain knowledge of the etiology, differential diagnoses, clinical findings, and management options for wounds or skin complications affecting these populations. Emphasis is placed on developing adept skills in performing physical assessments and obtaining health histories, incorporating data from diagnostic tests, and documenting assessments and evaluations to achieve optimal client outcomes.
