COURSE DESCRIPTION: This Rapid Ostomy Review Course is intended to assess the participant’s gaps in knowledge in evidence-based, comprehensive ostomy, tube, and fistula management as well as to prepare the participant to sit for Ostomy Certification Exams. This interactive course reviews general principles of assessment, identification of bowel and bladder dysfunction that may lead to continent or incontinent diversion, and management approaches for the care of a person with a diversion, tube, drain or fistula through test sample questions and case study presentations.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY: Ostomy Rapid Review Course OST500
PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY: The purpose of this activity is to assist the participant in identifying and addressing knowledge gaps in evidence-based comprehensive ostomy, tube and fistula management as well as to prepare the participant to sit for Ostomy Certification Exams.  This course provides the participant with an individualized appraisal of their gaps in knowledge through review and analysis of sample test questions and case studies along with providing strategies for test taking through various methodologies.
