COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course focuses on building and sustaining a culture of safety in skin and wound care for individual patients, caregivers, the health care system and others involved in wound care. Content includes the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries.

PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY:

The purpose of this presentation is to assist direct patient care providers in understanding the cause, common locations, staging system and key principles in the treatment of a patient with a pressure injury.
