Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on a culture of
safety in skin and wound care for individual patients, caregivers, the health
care system and others involved in wound care. Content includes the
prevention and treatment of skin and wound care issues.  Evidence-based practice guides focused
assessments and management approaches.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: 

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  The non-specialist nurse caregiver
(LPN/LVNs, RNs, Advanced Practice) and non-nursing professionals (e.g. PTs,
OTs, PAs, Medics) practicing under the direction of the WOC nurse, or other
wound specialists including an APRN, or Physician. This course may be taken
by teams of health care providers as a team building experience.  Course materials will be delivered ONLINE
with content taught by WEB WOC® faculty.

activity which is provider-directed, learner-paced and consists of handouts
and quiz questions.
PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY: The purpose of this presentation is to expand
the understanding and knowledge of the direct patient care provider in skin
care on a system-wide basis with guidelines for the maintenance of healthy
skin.
