Description

FN104 – Foot and Nail Care in Patients with Lower Extremity Disease

The purpose of this activity is to enable the nurse at a basic to advanced practitioner level to identify and describe nursing care issues of lower extremity vascular disease..

Following this presentation, the participant will be able to:
Discuss normal lower extremity vascular anatomy and physiology.
Identify physical assessment of lower extremities.
Identify pathological processes of the arterial, venous, and lymph systems.
Discuss management of vascular insufficiencies.
Describe presentations of cellulitis, allergic contact dermatitis, and atypical presentations.

This content is delivered as an enduring material activity which is provider-directed, learner-paced and consists of handouts and test questions. The participant must complete all learning activities including an assessment quiz with a passing score of 80% and the course evaluation. Following completion of these materials, the participant is able to print the certificate of completion.
