Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Imagine living with an ostomy with peristomal skin
burning, itching, or painful.  Imagine
having a leaking ostomy pouch to the point of not being able to leave the
house.  Imagine being the Nurse or
Ostomy Specialist struggling to help them.
This presentation equips the Nurse or Ostomy Specialist with new tools
to increase their knowledge in problem solving challenging ostomies through a
case-study approach.

of all levels, WOC Nurses, Pharmacists, OTs, PTs

PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY: Practically every nurse at some point in
their career has an ostomy patient with challenging leakage and poor
adherence.  This presentation will
present different ostomy challenges and solutions through case study approach
to increase knowledge for solving these challenges.
