Application from a Learner Residing in a Foreign Country
For RN’s living abroad, our first requirement is that you must speak English fluently. Secondly, your bachelor’s degree in nursing transcript must be evaluated by an agency for verification of education, coursework and calculation of GPA (a Course-by-Course Evaluation Report). Recommended agencies are: www.WES.org (World Education Services), www.ECE.org (Educational Credential Evaluators) or www.CGFNS.org (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools). A copy of this report should accompany your application to meet the ‘Transcript’ requirement.
Based upon the above report and English requirement, you are welcome to take the core content courses of our Program. The Practicum may be completed in your country; the learner receives approval from their clinical site to complete clinicals without a contract between WEB WOC and the facility. If you plan to complete your practicum in the United States, you will be responsible to set up this clinical experience. Once you are accepted into the Program, we can assist you with names and locations. However, we cannot guarantee a practicum placement because we are not aware of preceptor schedules, etc. We do not offer on-site clinical, as we are an online Program. So, arranging your practicum is something you should consider before enrolling. It is not unusual for learners living in foreign countries to complete the practicum outside of the U.S. Please note preceptor qualifications if you are using this option.
