WEB WOC® Programs raced into Indianapolis, Indiana, for WOCNext® 2026 with energy, excitement, and a full-speed-ahead spirit! Held just one week after the Indy 500, this year’s national conference offered the perfect backdrop to celebrate innovation, connection, and forward momentum in wound, ostomy, continence, foot, and nail care.

Off to the Races: WEB WOC Arrives in Indy

The WEB WOC team kicked off the weekend in true Indy style. After arriving at the airport on Friday, the team traveled to the JW Marriott in a limousine—setting the tone for a memorable conference experience filled with learning, celebration, and plenty of laughter.

Kissing the Bricks: Team Time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

On Saturday, May 30, the team shifted gears for a special visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. From touring the iconic track by bus to visiting the museum and taking part in the legendary “kiss the bricks” tradition, the day was packed with smiles, team bonding, and Indy racing fun. The racing theme continued with creative images of the WEB WOC team dressed in Indy-style race outfits—an unforgettable way to celebrate being together in the Racing Capital of the World.

Full Speed Ahead: Learning, Innovation, and Clinical Excellence

WOCNext® 2026 highlighted the latest innovations, essential clinical insights, and emerging trends across the WOC nursing specialty. The conference brought together clinicians, educators, leaders, industry partners, and colleagues from across the country to learn, share, and continue advancing excellence in patient care.

WEB WOC was proud to have JoAnn Ermer-Seltun, MS, RN, ARNP, FNP-BC, CWOCN, CFCN, presenting at this year’s conference. Her sessions kept the Indy theme rolling while addressing important issues in continence care.

  • Full Speed Ahead: Advancing Options for Women with Urinary Incontinence at Home focused on the impact of urinary incontinence on function and quality of life, along with practical containment options for women managing urinary incontinence in the home setting.
  • Indy Insights: Driving Excellence in Outpatient UTI Care provided evidence-based strategies for diagnosing, preventing, and managing urinary tract infections in the outpatient setting, with emphasis on appropriate pharmacologic treatment and antimicrobial stewardship.

These sessions reflected WEB WOC’s continued commitment to practical, evidence-based education that helps clinicians lead the pack in delivering specialized care.

A 25-Year Victory Lap: Celebrating WEB WOC® Alumni, Preceptors, and Colleagues

This year marked a major milestone for WEB WOC® Programs: 25 years of accredited online WOC nursing education. To celebrate, WEB WOC hosted an alumni, preceptor, and colleague event at WOCNext 2026 on Saturday, May 30. Attendance was spectacular, with more than 60 attendees joining the celebration.

The gathering felt like a true victory lap—filled with reconnection, shared stories, laughter, and gratitude. Alumni and preceptors reflected on their unique laps through the WEB WOC program, the milestones they have crossed, and the impact they continue to make as leaders in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.

WEB WOC is deeply grateful to the alumni, preceptors, faculty, colleagues, and friends who continue to fuel the next generation of WOC nurses. Your passion, mentorship, and commitment keep this community racing forward.

Celebrating a WEB WOC Leader: Dr. Debra Netsch Inducted as a WOCN® Fellow

A highlight of WOCNext 2026 was celebrating Dr. Debra Netsch, WEB WOC Co-director and ANCC accredited program provider director, as she was inducted into the 2026 Class of WOCN Fellows. WEB WOC team members attended the WOCN Fellows Award dinner and ceremony to honor this outstanding recognition.

This prestigious honor recognizes exceptional leadership, clinical expertise, and meaningful contributions to the WOC nursing profession and the WOCN Society. Congratulations, Dr. Netsch, on this well-deserved achievement and lasting contribution to the specialty!

Throughout the conference, the WEB WOC exhibit booth served as a welcoming pit stop for alumni, preceptors, colleagues, prospective learners, and friends of the program. Booth #633 was filled with conversation, celebration, and connection as attendees stopped by to learn more about WEB WOC educational offerings and help celebrate the program’s 25-year anniversary.
